There is just something wrong in using the words "French" and "Bully" in the same context...Maybe it would make sense in the context of, you know, a snooty French waiter or something.

This is just too funny. After all the French sniffing about "Bush the cowboy", Chirac starts talking like a crime boss. That's right, Monsieur Chirac - you know you're a fraud -- time for you to flip your lid now.

There are many at The Coca-Cola Company that would argue that this was first said by Robert W. Woodruff.

I believe President Reagan was a friend of Mr. Woodruff's and quoted him often.

French and Bully go exactly together. Bullies are cowards who tyrannize when they have the opportunity. Look at the French in Algeria, in Viet Nam. French Imperialism was generally an international bullying.

The French have always been duplicitous, its their character.
In the book "John Adams", David McCollough the author tells how the emissary from France is talking to John Adams about helping the US in the revolutionary war and at the same time he is talking to the British behind Adam's back!
Its the French way

Christians have long suspected that the upcoming European Superstate is the 'revived Roman Empire' of the Book of Revelation. Now the news is that the French will be running it. Do you need further proof?

Rush was all that gave me hope for years Me too. Remember when it seemed there were no other conservatives except maybe Buckley, Kemp and Bennet?

If he has decided that is better for France not to expand the EU, and he wanted to strengthen the anti-EU movement in Eastern Europe, then maybe this insult was successful and quite intentional. Great point. It is entirely possible that this is an act of sabotage. Of course, if it is, it had better work. Because if it doesn't, France will just have pissed off a whole bunch of new EU members.

You may be more right than you realize. I think when someone objects as much as Chirac has that there is reason to believe they are nervous that they will be implicated in some crime. When we enter Iraq, I think there will be mounds of incriminating documents that will show how much of an ally Chirac has been to Saddam.
So let me the first, J'aucuse Mssr. Chirac. I charge Jacques Chirac with aiding and abeting a mass murderer. He should go on trial at the Hague and share a cell with Milosevic.

Chirac is a socialist, and socialists love words, lots of them. They just think we're stupid when we expect them to back up their words with action.
Eastern Europe is very fortunate to be getting a clearer picture of France's expectations of them....to shut up and do as they are told.

This shows how hypocritical the french are. france should not show gratitude to the USA for WWI, and WWII, but expects
the Eastern Europeans to kiss his behind for being so big hearted by allowing their admission to EU. What an arrogant frog!

Is there a list of New Europe products to buy (other than the obvious Spanish and Italian wines and Polish vodka)? Hungary also has good wines.
