I was taking offense at the "only US President" jab which was designed to make Carter a Saint. Revisionism rears it's ugly head yet again.

That Carter order the rescue attempt, or any other president order a "rescue" is for me not necessarily an "order of troops to war". So I would at least give the author the benefit of the doubt.

Carter is, was, and always will be the worst President this country ever had (Clinton was the most evil!). He is a traitor and should be treated as one.
