February 18, 2003 -- Awhole bunch of people, here in New York and worldwide, demonstrated Saturday in favor of keeping a genocidal maniac, Saddam Hussein, in power.

They didn't put it that way of course.

"Have got to go!"

Except for Saddam, of course.

PING!

Exactly!

You just wonder if people even think things through anymore!

Apparently... by the actions of these "peace protesters" they don't!

It would be interesting to know the typical age of the "anti-war" group...I get the impression these folks have been lost and wandering around the country since 1973 just waiting for what appears to them to "another Vietnam."

Its sounds like a missive from our own JohnHuang2, lol. But it makes the point on why this is a march for anything but true peace in the 21st century.

It was a march for Socialism, pure and simple. Genocide can be practiced by any government that has socialist or communist leaders.

I can just see them defending North Korea's Dear Leader as their next pet project.

The best way these fruit loops could prevent a war would eb to protest Saddam and call for him to disarm.

spot on.

Many of these people are flat out, marching for socialism and communism, and wish to infect (if not overthrow) our way of life any way they can. Of course, they'll never get away with it.

The others, are just plain ignorant. They have every right to their opinions and their freedom of expression. They also have every right to make absolute idiots out of themselves in front of everyone.

I don't know if you visited the World Worker's web site or ANSWER's, but if you didn't do it more than a week ago, you should have because it is all changed. The original site was all anti-US and and Israel, pro Castro, pro Saddam, pro Kim Jong Il, pro Mumia and a few other assorted despots from around the world. I think that their motto was, any enemy of the US is a friend of mine.

Not far from the truth at all. These protests were organized by the stalinist World Workers' Party in the guise of proxy groups like International ANSWER, International Action Center, etc. The WWP is very enamoured with NK's Dear Leader. And the director of INt'l ANSWER, Brian Becker, is a vehement supporter of Kim Jong Il and makes frequent trips to PyongYang. I can't say I'm suprised to hear that they've changed their websites around and sent incriminating evidence down the memory chute. They've pulled a brilliant move by using unsuspecting leftists, both extreme and moderate, to give their agenda momentum. This guy sums it all up pretty eloquently, but if you search the net, you'll find out how deep this goes: http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=5802

I received this from a childhood friend this AM, I think we all feel the same way:

The Soldier

I want you to close your eyes and picture in your mind the soldier at Valley Forge, as he holds his musket in his bloody hands.

He stands barefoot in the snow, starved from lack of food, wounded from months of battle and emotionally scarred from the eternity away from his family surrounded by nothing but death and carnage of war.

He stands tough, with fire in his eyes and victory on his breath. He looks at us now in anger and disgust and tells us this...

I gave you a birthright of freedom born in the Constitution and now your children graduate too illiterate to read it. I fought in the snow barefoot to give you the freedom to vote and you stay at home because it rains.

I left my family destitute to give you the freedom of speech and you remain silent on critical issues, because it might be bad for business.

I orphaned my children to give you a government to serve you and it has stolen democracy from the people.

It's the soldier not the reporter who gives you the freedom of the press.

It's the soldier not the poet who gives you the freedom of speech.

It's the soldier not the campus organizer who allows you to demonstrate.

It's the soldier who salutes the flag, serves the flag, whose coffin is draped with the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.

As what's been commented repeatedly, these vermin who protest mindlessly support socialism and communism. Those who feel they are "rightous" in doing so, are sadly being used by these evil ones.

Let's continue to keep our soldiers in our prayers.

It's not about peace but about their political agenda, which is to destroy the Constitution and everything
this republic stands for. Nope, they can't think. We have a war within our nation between people whose ideas are incompatible with ours.
