It would seem to me IMHO, that Germany and France are trying to do politically what Hitler and the Vichy French couldn't do by military means. And that is to control all of Europe under their joint rule.

I can't figure out why these newly liberated European countries are seeking EU membership. Can't they see what the Germans and French are up to? It's plain as day from this side of the Atlantic.
