Here is the "take back the media" plan:

Plan A:
Shut down talk radio under the Campaign Finance Reform act.
Plan A is likely to get nuked in the courts, so...

Plan B:
Revive the Fairness Doctrine.
That got laughed off the table, and wouldn't stand a
chance in today's Congress. So...

Plan C:
Mainstream media takes off the gloves...

C1. Build a case that the "media" (talk radio and
the Internet) is heavily biased toward Conservatives.

C2. Bolster the case with conspiracy theories based
on the failure of Frankenstein radio and similar efforts.

C3. Have NBC/CBS/ABC, New York Times and other major
outlets finally "come out of the closet" about their
editorial agenda, claiming:
"we're just providing `balance' in an `unfair'
media environment"

Ah ha! In that case I'd buy a one-channel one-volume radio and smash it with my splitting maul. Then I'd get out the guitar and entertain myself!
