You've got to be kidding. This woman repeatedly violated terms of her probation/parole. She got exactly what she deserved.

This women has a history of bad judgement and bad "friends", convicting here on this particular trumped up charge will do nothing but tell her she doesn't have a chance in this life, and so why try. That is MHO.

I completely disagree.

"I've seen a lot rougher women than me come through and do a lot less time for a lot more violent crimes. They come in for armed robbery, assault, and they're out in a year or less, and I'm still here."

Posing for photos with unloaded guns that aren't hers make her no threat to society. Furthermore, the guy who took the pictures lost them all. Confiscations and B.S. prosecutions are here.

It is interesting that the feds are interpreting someone handling someone else's firearms as "possession". That is, she was charged with violating her parole for possessing firearms. That is an unusual interpretation of the word, from my perspective. If you hand me your unloaded firearm, and I hold it, would we agree that I now "own" it? No. This is an argument over semantics. The dictionary treats the word possession as a situation of ownership, specifically "to have and hold as property". Even when it used the word in the context of "controlling" it relates to ownership (unless the reference is to demonic possession - yes really.)

So...looks like the way the law is treating "possession" of firearms is different than the way it treats "possession" of a piece of land, or a car, or anything else where you hold title or a purchase receipt.

Meanwhile, across the street from every federal building in America illegal criminal invaders are hawking fake ID to anybody with $25. The feds are using a microscope ferreting out paper gun violators, while Iraqis and Saudis are buying fake driver's licenses under their noses unmolested, and there are squatter camps of anonymous illegal aliens in every large downtown park.
