Why do politicians actually claim that they are Rhodes scholars? Standards, politically correct or not, are not applied to liberal politicians. Since the Rhodes scholars who become politicians are liberal your question is answered.
Only if a Rhodes scholar ever "sees the light" and becomes conservative will the media decide they best explore this angle---but they'll have to couch it so the taint doesn't touch their pets, like clinton.

I just got back from taking the paper to my mother. In the checkout there is a magazine called the
National Examiner. I can't find the cover on line, but it cheered me right up.
On the left, a nice picture of President Bush. On the right, a bunch of BAD pictures of celebrities like Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, etc. On the top it says "TRAITORS!" and underneath it says, "These stars side with Saddam!"
HA!

LOL Jeff, we got 11 inches of snow right now. Still got another 11 to go.

...it has been raining here for nearly three days in a row...And we could use plenty more.

have you seen Powell's face in the picture on lucianne.com when he was at the UN? It says it all... I can't help but wonder if Rumsfeld and Powell aren't playing good cop-bad cop ?
To: marajade
I also think that Powell is fed up with the back-stabbing he has had to endure from the UN.

James Woolsey, former CIA Director on with Wolf and Eaglebuger and Clark. Said that the role of inspectors under 1441 is to be auditors, basically to tally the stockpiles, like they did in South Africa. Their role has never been to discover the WMAD-Weapons of Mass American Death, just to count them.Woolsey said that Russia,Germany and France( plus our home grown cowards and liars-the media and Democrats-my words, not his)morphed their role into detectives, not accountants and Hans and Mohammed played along. Woolsey made a point similar to this, which I made yesterday:
" Iraq is comparable in land mass to California- approx 160,000 square miles. The Shuttle debris fell over a couple of hundred square miles in Texas .Using hundreds and possibly thousands of searchers, plus thousands of volunteer citizens, only parts of the Shuttle have been reclaimed.Compare that statistic with 100 UN inspectors presently searching an uncooperative Iraq, the size of California, for hidden weapons."
Woolsey said the inspectors were the size of the Chico police dept.,attempting to do a house to house, building to building, for the entire state of California.

Yeap Jim, just checked accuweather. They are calling for another 16 inches of snow, did not include the ice they are calling for on top of it. That would make it 27 inches of snow minimum.

Poor little Belgium, struggling to keep its little pinhead up with its bigger fellow thugs. "Hey! Don't forget us. We're Belgium - we're an important obstructionist jerk too!"
Funny how when Woolsey, Eagleburger, or Clark talked about NATO obstructionists, they'd usually start out with "France and Germany are..and oh yeah..uh Belgium..."

Yo Go Cowgirl! Keep up the heat for Estrada. We can call Nelson and Bob "I'm too busy to comment on Estrada but I'll be happy to rip the Presdient of Foreign Policy" Graham all we want, but it's actually better to go over their heads and call groups that might actually support Estrada!

Just got back; sorry. I did see that picture of Powell at the UN and it does indeed say everything. He's turned total hawk.

Powell, McCain, mimed General Clarke and stupidly implied endorsement of Clintonese criminal envolvement in Kosovo. Sad to say Condi referred to Kosovo and Milosevic and has to re educate herself as to what actually happened , and what's going on at the Hague 'tribunal' .
There is no similarity between Kosovo and Iraq except that the are the exact opposite.

The best part of the day had to be the Fox Roundtable where Brit totally b*tch-slapped Juan and Mara. I loved it when Juan began the usual refrain, "...the US can't go it alone ..." and Brit jumped in with: "What are you talking about. The vote is 16-3 on the US's side!!! Can't you count?"
