Just for reference here is a picture uploaded to the Houston Indymedia.org site:
...as well as some audio files recounting some of their reactions.
Interviewer:
There are some guys, that we walked by just now, who are actually pro-war, I guess. And they are advocating war, and they have signs that say something like, you know, "Remember September 11th," and things like that. And, uh, I hear you had some words with them.
Peace Activist:
I did, yes, uh, because of my son they started shouting to me I'm pro-rape and pro-murder. And, I thought it was very ironic because they were, they want war, they're for Bush. And I told them that, that war is rape and murder, and that they were being hypocrites. And, I just thought it was amazing -- that they could say that to anti-war people, that we're pro-rape and pro-murder.
Interviewer:
They also had signs that say, like, we're for real peace, and things like that. Did you have words with them about that as well, or?
Peace Activist:
No, I couldn't, I couldn't make out their signs for listening to their ridiculous words!
Interviewer:
I see. Did the police have to step in? Did they get violent?
Peace Activist:
No, no it... No it wasn't like that. But, uh, my blood pressure was going up I could tell.
The police did have to step in, but not because we got violent. Rather a bunch of these yahoos kept coming up to us and getting in our faces. Sheesh.
ROTFL! One of the French?
also a personal low for me as we were approaching the park -- there were a few anti-protest protesters, maybe about twenty or so. "i support bush" with a loud airhorn (or was it a foghorn or maybe a leghorn?) and "you dont(sic) love peace, you just hate America(sic)"
What a dumbass!!!

Tony Blair: The price of my conviction
But there are also consequences of 'stop the war'. There will be no march for the victims of Saddam, no protests about the thousands of children that die needlessly every year under his rule, no righteous anger over the torture chambers which if he is left in power, will remain in being.
I rejoice that we live in a country where peaceful protest is a natural part of our democratic process. But I ask the marchers to understand this.
I do not seek unpopularity as a badge of honour. But sometimes it is the price of leadership and the cost of conviction.
If there are 500,000 on the [Stop the War] march, that is still less than the number of people whose deaths Saddam has been responsible for. If there are one million, that is still less than the number of people who died in the wars he started.
So if the result of peace is Saddam staying in power, not disarmed, then I tell you there are consequences paid in blood for that decision too. But these victims will never be seen, never feature on our TV screens or inspire millions to take to the streets. But they will exist none the less.

LOL! I think I'll leave that alone.
