I don't know if Chirac is that anti-Bush as much as he is anti-American. I mean Chirac is a right winger in France.

They also realize that the opposition party in the US (the Democrats) does not share Bush's enthusiasm for war. The Democratic leaders are only reluctantly on board.

Of course the French are for anything that would weaken America's position in the world.

That would most certainly include the Democrat Party. No surprise here.

I don't know if you guys have seen this... it's from the website of the Revolutionary Communist Party (backing NION). Their main website is http://rwor.org/

This is a document of theirs dated December 2001, just 3 months after the WTC was hit. It blew my mind when I found it.
URL is http://rwor.org/a/v23/1120-29/1129/editorial_1129.htm

WANTED: A Powerful Anti-War Movement
Revolutionary Worker #1129, December 2, 2001, posted at rwor.org

McWorld or Jihad?!? There must be another way.

How can we fight against the unjust bombings and military interventions of the U.S. government and the intense repression and profiling of Arab and Muslim people?

How can people around the world deal with reactionary forces and ideologies in a way that does not end up strengthening global exploiters and oppressors?

How can people in the U.S. communicate to the people halfway across the planet that there is a difference between the U.S. power structure and the great majority of the people in the U.S.-- who have no fundamental interest in oppressing and ripping off the people of the world?

How can we help give "air to breathe" to the kind of movements that can really liberate people from the global oppressors--and create societies where poverty, unjust violence, ethnic hatred, and the oppression of women can be eliminated?

Thinking about these problems--and the need for proletarian revolution in the U.S. and around the world--RCP Chairman, Bob Avakian wrote:

"We must bring forward the vision of a movement against the war acts and repression of 'our own' U.S. government that is so powerful that it cannot be hidden from the masses of people all over the world--including in the countries and areas that are targets of U.S. imperialist aggression and are, justifiably, 'hotbeds' of hatred 'against America.'

"Imagine, what it would (and will) mean to those millions and millions of people when they see hundreds of thousands and ultimately millions of people in America itself, taking on the aggression (and repression) of their own government and standing with the people of the world against all that this government stands for and is doing and enforcing in the world. Imagine the questions that will raise in those people's minds, the "dialogue" (even if indirect) it will give rise to, among people all over the world with people in the U.S. itself.

"Imagine the inspiration it will provide and the potential realignment it will contribute to--with ordinary people worldwide finding common cause against the oppressors and bullies of the world, first and above all the rulers of America--who, it will be more and more clear, do not speak and act in the interests, or in the name of large, and growing, numbers of American people themselves...."

Imagine...
Strategize...
Unite all who can be united...
Realize the vision...
The whole world is watching.

Don't be ridiculous. It will play out as he wants it to play out. He has almost 70% of the country behind him. Our men are on the ground already--and I wouldn't be surprised if he has been getting some good news we haven't been hearing about in the media. He has seemed unusually cheerful lately--even joked on Friday at FBI HQ--and stayed to shake hands. He looks rested and jaunty.

Here's what'll happen. The UN would collapse without our participation. So it will be forced to go along with a second resolution designed by us and the charade will play out a few more weeks with the end of February as a deadline for still another Blix report. That will then give us the causus belli. If the UN pleads for still another resolution--we can laugh in its collectively fraudulent face.

Great find:

Sounds like Hillary wrote this, aside from this unknown named here who else is a part of this group.

These words are the very same that liberals use every election year. Why do we allow them to call us "mean-spirited" and we won't call them what they are - communists?

So they want us commoners to join them for equality, while they at the top split the spoils.

Basic reason why the liberals are so against TAX CUTS, without taxes they have no ability to get their hands on our money.

Time will tell how many Americans will be snared into their trap, last administration had 2/3rds of American support, this is why they are so angry that Bush won the election.

I have no doubt that if only "LEGAL VOTES" were counted President Bush would have won the popular vote.

So two things that the liberals fear most is TAX CUTS and ending VOTE FRAUD. While they will fight to the death to prevent these two things, they on another front are trying to whip up anti-Bush protests to damage Bush for next election.

The EVIL are amoung us, how many will wake up?

Or they are hoping Saddam will develop usable nuclear weapons in the next few weeks. Since they've been supplying him with the materiel (see the Newsmax story) they probably have a pretty good idea of where his nuclear program is. Then they could continue to profit from the sale of military technology to Iraq, screw the US, and who knows? maybe even nuke the "shitty little country" Israel out of existence. A threefer from their point of view.

So many ulterior motives; so little time...

Ergo, if you really want to achieve the goal of a one-world socialist state, this war must be stopped and Bush must go. There's really no other option.

P.S. Pointing out that our reasons for going into Iraq and taking out Hussein are no different than our reasons for going into the former Yugoslavia and taking our Milosevic -- well, that just induces cognitive dissonance, so there's no point in presenting that argument.

A breathtaking analysis...
Peaceniks think France, Germany and the UN are actually for peace? Perhaps we need to suggest to these paranoid anti-government peace "protestors" that the only reason France, Germany and the UN would be against military action would be if they had something to gain, which is money and power. There are many things that are clouded and murky right now, and it is true that there is alot more to this than meets the eye. I think we are witnessing a crossroads in history, which path the world chooses will affect the all of us for sometime to come.

This is all about creating an mafia like aristocracy based on the elite from Belgium, Germany, and France. Belgium is the key to this. They have nothing else to make them feel powerful so they are like the liberals in this country. Get through the courts what you can't get through other means. Mainly a national identity and place in the world.

They are also like the dems in that you don't need the votes if you control the administration. No need for laws when you can rule by administrative fiat. They may have just set themselves back a few years though.

With the other "subjects" of the EU supporting the U.S. it shows just how fragile it is yet. This is a good thing and might be an unexpected side benefit of the whole Iraq thing.

This is nothing new for the left. Jimmy Carter went to the Soviet Uniion during the 84 election. Carter asked the Soviet Communists for assistance to prevent Reagans re-election in exchange for the promise of more favorable relations under a Walter Mondale presidency. This was part of a democrat party political strategy.

If they are this dirty, I wonder if they would do the unconcionable of aiding saddam secretly or overtly. Thus, by their own actions prolong a war.
