Clooney on Leno stated he was taking time off to travel the US in a Motor home with friends and do some drinking aka partying aka relaxing . He then preceded to slowly empty his cup of "liquid" onto the set floor while talking to Leno. (Leno sat "straight faced".)

On another new (obscure) Late Night talk show, he carried on a bottle of Vodka(?) and poured himself a drink.

Man, that is a BIG NO NO on the Leno set. We went to two of his shows and got to sit down front in the chairs and got to meet Jay and shake his hand. He is a very nice, friendly Liberal. But before the show the furniture on that set is covered with tarps, and no one is allowed to touch anything up there. They are VERY picky about that set! George surely knew that and poured his drink out there on purpose!
