Long Live Margaret Thatcher. More of a man than Tony could ever dream to be.

Well, we all admire Thatcher. But she was dumped by her own party. Don't be too certain that deposing Blair would give rise to any PM of either party that would be our ally.

As far as his couching his speech in terms of Labor party politics, I don't think you can fault a speaker for knowing his audience and speaking to their sensibilities.

Blair is very brave right now, in many ways. And he's showing leadership to the rest of Europe, those outside the Axis of Weasels who are also standing with us, governments who are looking to him for the courage to oppose their own domestic peace nuts. Like Churchill, he recognizes there are longterm security issues at stake more important than his own political career. And that is admirable, even in a liberal.

Unfortunately, liberals are my sworn enemy.

Keep smiling,

Philip.

Relations between Blair and Clinton were never as warm as commonly believed. Clinton was jealous of Blair anytime the latter received favourably publicity. The joke among Blair and his team was "Bill gives great blow", meaning he's full of it.

I agree that a Tory government would be preferable. Were IDS the Prime Minister or even Lady Thatcher, the UN would be thoroughly ignored.

Blair has moments of insight, flashes of brilliance. This is his best moment. Do not be disappointed if there are precious few others. Certainly do not be surprised.

Regards, Ivan

I have yet to fathom out why he has chosen this path in the first place.

That he has, certainly deserves applause.

However, IMHO, with GREAT reservation.

Keep smiling,

Philip.

Where is Jimmy Carter? Human rights should have him out in front on this. Ha!

What a mouthful. YES... Where are you Peanut Man? You just received a Nobel prize... now ACT Nobel. Damn, I bet he's a typical leftist/demoncrat weasel, afraid to take any type of action, the gutless creep..oops the creep is Clinton. But then, there's no difference. Well then, send them both to Europe and throw in Hitlary too. She's free. However, Carter's good at using a hammer and sickle..oops, nails. he he

Rush gave Carter and Clinton hell today. Said much the same as you did. Carter has chased after every 2 bit dictator and never accomplished anything. Clinton doing the same. Their policies are what have us in the mess we are in today.

My opinion of Blair has gone up about 14 notches in the past couple of years. I used to think of him as Clintonesque, but that was unfair of me.
