I am NOT a mechanical or Mr. Fixit guy, but even I know that Diesel is for big rigs. If these guys did not know that, that is definitely a serious concern.

I agree. I'd assume that a run-of-the-mill truck thief would be stealing a truck to part out (I'm going on the assumption here that the truck had no cargo). Any regular truck thief would certainly know how to drive it.
