Once he does, look for the move to be made to unite Mexico,Canada, and the US into one nation/economic block. When you create a new nation, you need a new Constitution.

NAFTA was the prelude to this, and the next stage (FTAA) is in the works. Once the regions are united economically, a political union will follow, just like in Europe. I think it will happen before George P runs since it will be 20+ years before he runs. I believe it will happen within a decade unless the course is changed.

And the new Constitution will NOT recognize individual Rights. Sure, it will pay lip service to them, and may even list a few, but in the following form: "The Right of the People to X,Y, Z, shall not be infrigned unless the gov't passes a law to infringe upon it." In other words, completely meaningless.

And the sad thing is that many people here will be lapping it up as long as the polticians proposing it have an "R" after their name.

Yup,I coined a term for what is happening,"Corporate Communism". Instead of a Politiboro,we will have a board of directors What it really amounts to is a return to the feudal system. Think "Whole country=company town",and you won't be far off the mark. This was inevitable once corporations all became multi-nationals. They are no longer "American Corporations" or "German Corporations". They are "Corporate citizens of th world",and it is only natural for them to want only one set on import/export laws, tax laws, environmental laws, worker safety laws, etc, etc, etc. Especially when THEY will be the ones doing the writing.
