You're presuming they're hiding information that they could share. I'm certain they have intel that we don't, and that's the way it should be if release of the intel compromises sources. But there's enough information circulating in public for me to be concerned enough to send my family away from Washington D.C. if I lived in downtown.

(As it is, we're less than a half hour away and still concerned, but we're not going anywhere.)

Well raising the alert to a Code Red IS sharing the info with the public.
