Let's table this debate and make a recess appointment. This is a losing issue.

The Democrats oppose this guy because of his politics, not his race. Our claims of racism will backfire.

Hey Babastooey, whats up!
Sen. Bennett from Utah up right now, stressing the point about Republican's reluctance to push for cloture and raise the bar for judges to 60 votes.
To: Partisan Hack
Durbin up now.
To: BaBaStooey
Thank You. CSPAN-2 challenged.

EVERY ONE, ESP FLORIDA FREEPERS, Sen Bill Nelson's staff this morning said that "he met with Estrada yesterday and is leaning towards supporting him." That means that everyone needs to start calling him now!

If Nelson (FL) is on board, that might mean 4 Dems are with us. We do not want to invoke cloture to set a precedent for judges in the future, however, if we do get 9 Dems on board with us, Daschle will probably back down, knowing we can get a cloture vote.
To: BaBaStooey
Durbin has the floor, Bennett is asking questions. Durbin is CHARTING it up.

We need to get his private, sort-of, well-leaning, blah blah blah into a public "YES." More calls (and the VERY LARGE Florida Hispanic population) can do it! I think we're getting to the Dem Senators!

Where is confirmation of the Nelson story? I have not heard that and wondered where you got that information.

my computer is on the fritz and I need to leave the office for a bit, keep this thing going and keep us updated!
To: BaBaStooey
We don't have a TV, and I've never tried to do C-Span on the computer til this filibuster. All I can get is "Experiencing problems with streaming video." And the Atlanta papers have not a single word about this thing. Nothing. Could somebody please offer an update? Is this even a filibuster yet? Hasn't Frist already caved on the idea of keeping the Senate in session for it?
To: BaBaStooey
I just called Nelson's office and a staffer told me that Senator Nelson is NOT supporting the filibuster.
