Blair and Clinton used to be very close Third Way buddies. They talked on the phone nearly every day according to a few former members of the Clintonista regime. 9/11 was a culmination of Third Way policies as laid out by Clinton. 9/11 was Mr. Blair's exorcist, IMO.
