I hear a while ago this AM on KSTP radio news that none other than X42 himself will be speaking in the metro on April 13th at the Beth-el (SP) Synagogue in St. Louis Park.

I will attend that one even if I have to quit my job and abandon the family.

Sorry I missed you guys. I got there a little after 1:00 and positioned myself in a doorway and watched the animals march by, hoping to see some FReepers somewhere. The number of the losers really surprised me. I wasn't expecting that many. Fortunately, I did manage to accidentally run into Johnny Gage (very nice to meet you Johnny...) and we walked together up the street following the trailing end of the marchers, and hoping to run into more FReepers. But no such luck. We headed back to Lake Street and then parted ways... But we did have a nice FReeper conversation, and showed the flag proudly.....

Sorry I didn't see anyone there, but their crowd was especially large and spread out this time. (So many idiots, so little time.)

I started getting cold so I ducked into the Old Chicago for a brew and a warmup after a while before going home.

SShultz460 and his friend Corry(sp) and your humble servant ended up on the corner of Hennepin and Lagoon. SShultz460 brought some signs and two small American flags, so with our hearts full of joy off we when. To say we were outnumbered would be the understatement of the year (but quality counts for something). We were joined by two other men who enthusiastically joined in. I'm sure you'll be "suprised" to hear that our brothers and sisters in the peace community(incert foghorn here) are not very peaceful or tolerant when it comes to dissent. We were assualted verbaly on more than one occasion and twice physically twice. A woman from something called "United Action For Peace and Justice" thought we were from Veterans for Peace(where she got that idea I have idea and even less interest in finding out) wanted to give us the phone # of her org. and a flyer, she discovered her mistake (she discovered her mistake after I told her her org. was laughable) she tried to take the flyer back. She took off after I called for the police. Corry(sp)(I believe)was threaten with a stick.

On a positive note we received many thumbs up, waves and horn honkings which were greatly apprecated.

SShultz460 is talking about doing this on a regular basis(support out troops freep) so if anyone is interested contact him.

All in all a good time was had by all.

I was also there, but did not recognize any of my fellow FReepers. There were two supporters of out troops that were interviewed by the some one with a TV camera. Not sure who they were. Wish I would have asked where everyone was planning to meet.

As RWRF said, we ran into each other and hiked up behind the unwashed masses, and had some good words with our local LEO's.

While we were standing there talking one young lady asked to take our picture.

I had a 2X3" flag on a pole with a "freerepublic.com" sign taped underneath.

I did have a SUV with several people in it honk and wave while I was walking back to my SUV.

It was a fun time, even if we missed the rest of the group.

I would be interested in doing "support freeps" on a regular basis, if I can work it into my schedule. I'm sure we could probably get a decent rotation of folks who'd do this.

I suggest we pick a few blocks/overpasses and hit em up on Saturdays. Plus, In your offtime (I will be doing this) Tie Yellow Ribbons to stuff, you know like everything.

Thanks! That other guy wasn't a freeper, just a former military who decided to show up. We goaded each other to walk back and forth across the crowd, creating a maximum annoyance factor for the commies.

I have to hand it to 'CCO, they made us look like superheroes on their report this time. Everybody has to remember in the future to ham in front of the camera, because they'll show you, even if you're outnumbered 6,000 to 5.

It seems the "most likely to have earned a section eight or alleged" veteran crowd, found a another brow beating tactic. Slimy Scotty Ritter often beat up newsies with a similar tactic; whenever a newsie would begin to question Ritter's 180 degree flip-flop. Questioning your right to counter-protest, since you did not serve in the armed forces.

If a "thanks for your service" doesn't calm them; you might want to respond with something like:

Tell me sir, what did you think about Al Gore disqualifying our soldiers/sailors overseas absentee ballots? You've been hanging with the same crowd which supports the Gore military voter disenfranchisement scheme.

If you get any response other than agreement with you after that zinger, it is likely they are not a veteran. This veteran thanks you FReepers for supporting the young men and ladies of the US Armed forces. Don't forget to e-mail the troops with your FReep stories. They will love it. And consider the news source they suffer.
They're watching CNN.
