Edwards mentioned something about Estrada and his "fiery temper", but then said he was going to focus his time on Homeland Security, and how "this president" has failed miserably.

A filibuster IMHO is a refusal to advise and consent. And thus they are refusing to do the work for which they were elected. Recall, anyone?

Just heard that caller too -- she was great -- commented on how they are calling Estrada "too white" while saying that Pres. Clinton was "the first black president" -- then she said (paraphrasing) -- What have they [the Democrats] done for me ? Everything I have I got by my own hard work ! I'd love to give her a hug for finally getting it !

You are absolutely right. They have to know that the White House, the Senate Majority (hehehe) and the public are all willing to hang tough. It will never end if we allow the Hillarycrats to set the standards for all future nominations. We will not allow that, not in this administration. It just ain't gonna happen.

Edwards mentioned something about Estrada and his "fiery temper", Hmmm..."fiery temper": isn't that a racist statement by Sen. Edwards? Would he say that about a white person, or an African-American? Is he prejudiced against Hispanics?
To: Mo1; Howlin
Edwards alert. The local rag article which I referenced earlier involved a telephone man who gave Edwards some ideas for protecting institutional buildings. Now Edwards must be using these ideas as if they're his own. It figures.
To: ArGee
FOFLOL. Well, I don't what they did to his, maybe they removed it.

"fiery temper",?
Sounds like racial profiling to me.
To: JackTom
Santorum? Sure it wasn't Leahy?
On February 10 Kyl quoted Leahy:
"On June 18, 1998, Senator Leahy said: I have stated over and over again on this floor that I would object and fight against any filibuster on a judge, whether it is somebody I have opposed or supported. ...
In fact, he also said a year later, on September 16, 1999: I do not want to get into having to invoke cloture on judicial nominations. I think it is a bad precedent. "
What a partisan joke Leahy is.

Hillary won't run per se.....NO Dem will have a majority of delegates going into the convention....so, next summer, iuf IF, Bush's numbers are down, then you'll see a draft Hillary movement erupt, and the convention steamrollered....

To: Darlin'
Well, I don't what they did to his, maybe they removed it. Doesn't matter what they did to his. A President who HAS A HEART will soundly beat him if he wins the Dim nomination.
And thank G-d for that!
Shalom.
