That is the difference, isn't it? The Government isn't going to arrest me if I state, on FR, that homosexuals are going to go to hell unless they repent of their sin. But If I place an ad in a canadian paper saying that homosexuals are going to go to hell unless they repent, I could get sued by some offended homo or arrested under some inane hate crime law.

Well at least you can do that in Canada. Apparently not in the US. Economics are more important and if you can't buy an ad , you'll never offend anybody . Even when anybody needs to be offended...
