I didn't see it. France and Germany owe their very lives to the United States. These European socialists make me sick.
To: Howlin
Well, this is probably a repeat - I haven't read all 2000 threads.
Called Graham and Nelson
Graham is recovering from heart surgery and unable to participate - is this one less vote for the Dems?
Nelson's office - said he was considering supporting it (what a weasel answer). Asked where I was calling from in Florida.

Imagine, the woman who hid billing records invoking the law. The woman who argued that Richard Nixon should not be entitled to legal counsel, wrapping herself in the Constitution? Barf...

I watched Sen. Orin Hatch mount his own anti-filibuster late last night on C-SPAN, and hope the GOP has the cajones to keep the heat on the RATS.
I got the sense that Sen. Reed (D-NV) was getting uncomfortable defending obstructing the confirmation of Estrada. Sen. Durbin doesn't seem give a [blank], and the cloven-hooved junior Senator from NY was nowhere to be found.
If the GOP keeps this up, we may actually see Mr. Estrada on the bench.

Ooops, my post isn't clear - Nelson office is considering supporting the filibuster - typical democrat doublespeak

Senator Smith was a breath of fresh air after listening to Byrd. And I'm sure it was badly needed. I would have hated to have taken a whiff of the air in the Senate Chambers after the putrifaction loosed from the mouth of the distinguished Klansman from West Virginia

Either these Dems are hypocrites or anti-Hispanic! Why can't they be both?
To: redlipstick
Nope.
But I hope Sen. Frist has allocated more time today for the RATS to make fools of themself on the Estrada nomination.

CSPAN2 Live senate hearing on the defense budget, starring Rumsfeld.
I guess the filibuster - and Estrada - are on ice for a little while longer.

Morning, Mo1
Any idea what time the Judiciary Committee is scheduled to convene this morning? I am wondering if the Dems will follow through on their threat to filibuster a Committee meeting. Schumer seemed to indicate last night that they WERE going to attempt this maneuver.
