It's the latest thing pols like to do, name laws after the person involved. Here comes the "Scott Ritter Law". He really has had an impact on society after all.

Scott Ritter might get felony law named after him. The Pedophile Traitor Law. Has a nice ring to it.

Scott should open a branch library in Arkansas.

Scott should open a branch library in Arkansas.Personally, I thought this was the funniest on this thread. < chuckle >

if it passes the NY State Assembly, then it is a sure thing to be passed into law, the NY State Senate is Republican-controlled (imagine that!) and of course Pataki is governor.

a felony for anyone to "lure or entice" a minor under age 17
Habitual Ritterbater
Theres already laws against Loitering, Littering and now..... Rittering.

if scott was a republican or pro-war he would be ROASTED ALIVE by these same liberal scum, instead of being invited to speak.

Thanks, sometimes we have to rely heavily on our sense of humor or we'll have our cheese slipping a little to far off our cracker, if you know what I mean!

Gee, sounds nice ... all ugly pigs of laws put their best foot forward and hope not to be scrutinized -- they appeal to emotion, to caring to concern. Behind that one good-looking foot is a ugly pig -- if only one looks.
Ritter lured/was lured by a twenty and thrity something group of cops to Burger King -- no innocent yound girl. As much as we ALL want to protect young girls, it would help to be adult and to ponder what the ramifications of such entrapments are. We all agree the criminal at a genuine crime should be grabbed and stopped.
What are the psychological dynamics of sexual bait-and-lure by an a adult play-acting a child? I do not think they can be presumed to be the same as that of a genuine child.
Perhaps better there should be a law against sexual luring of any kind in any open internet chat room, IM service, forum or by unsolicited email. Here's the thing -- how do you know that "lonely 40 year old housewife" isn't a 13 yeard old home alone after school. There's no way you can know.
I'd be more for that, than I would for some feel-good law that makes adult play-acting a felony.
