Two different words.
"Lah" in Arabic (which, if I recall correctly, is related to the Semitic Yah, as in Yahweh) is God. Despite the Hebrew connotations it is more of a generic term
"Allah" means "the God" and is indicative of the identity of the Judeo-Christian God. I know a lot of people here disagree rather strongly with Islam, but understand Arab Christian use "Allah" when they pray as well.
