To hell with duct tape, I will not cower in fear behind a wall of plastic and tape - I'm stocking up on ammo.

Did anyone see Daschle making a joke out of the "duct tape" tonight on TV ...?? I was stunned! He's ridiculing our domestic plans to keep the public safe. These people are really sick.

Serious Note here..I tape up my windows every winter to keep the cold out. If your looking to secure your household, you might want to check on top of hte window molding..Didn't matter how much tape I used, until it was cleaned WELL, nothing would stick. In a pinch, I'm certain the last thing ya want to do is pre-spring cleaning to avoid sarin..

You could probably make a halfway decent chem suit with duct tape and Hefty bags- assuming you already have a good surplus M-17 mask, fresh combat filters for it and you know how to use it and some basic info on decontamination. I have used the tape and bags to make a really good expedient shelter in the Sierras in bad weather along with locally available materials and some 550 cord. Chemical warfare is usually so localised that I don't see much more than a very limited application for it though.

Come to think of it- I could probably jimmy together a simple positive-pressure chem/bio/radiological system for the house with an air pump, some tape, and a few M-17 combat filter elements. Hmm...
