All I want to know is how many of those Iranian-Americans enlisted while they were at the Federal Building?

Its almost a miracle to get a group of immigrants as large as this one to support our government on any issue, at least their not burning the flag, we should be happy with this.

More Iranians out there supporting the President than Americans! What the heck does that say about us? Perhaps it is time for some demonstrations by pro-Bush Americans!

I think there are a lot more Americans that support the President than are given credit for. The media twists it, and Hollyweird folks have the $$ to make big statements. If I had the money, I'd be quite supportive in a loud manner.

I am glad to see that these folks stood up, in CA of all places.

I'm a USC grad. Before the Shah fell he made a sizable endowment to my alma mater since there was already a large Iranian contingent in Southern Cal. Many Iranians attended USC, as well as other schools. I knew quite a few. We're into the second generation of these people out there and alot are "Americanized". Its no wonder they're protesting.

Another thing I know is that quite a few go back to Iran to visit relatives and cousins so the Iranian people know of our freedoms here in the West..........which may also explain the restlessness of the younger generation back in Iran.

"cheap shot?" I don't know what planet you are living on but immigrants have been coming to this country and enlisting in the armed forces for over two hundred years. Freedom is not free. And if these people want to live in this country then they should be expected to step up to the plate and fight for the freedom that they enjoy like everyone else. Nothing cheap about the inquiry. If you can't stand the heat get the hell out of the kitchen. And if middle-easterners aren't willing to fight for the stars and stripes they need to go back where they came from. Cheap shot? hardly...

You and your Iranian friends received an American education in one of the finest universities in the world and enjoyed the freedoms of America. How many of your Iranian friends have served in the United States armed services?

If they fled the Shah regime, many of them are probably too old to serve in the military. But God bless 'em nonetheless.
