Being "prepared" by being panicked by stupid suggestions coming from the government is boneheaded. If you think that putting duct tape over the cracks in your windows and doors is going to protect you from chemical and biological warfare agents, then you are not prepared; you are a bonehead. Bonehead = ignorant.

you are a bonehead. Bonehead = ignorant</> Thanks for the name-callin' my friend. I am not saying that you run out and stockpile duct tape. I am not running out to buy anything. Seems you are so upset over the warnings, that you seem to be showing signs of fear turned toward anger. Bush is caught between Iraq and a hard place. You keep people informed and go about your daily routine, but you stay alert..and you let the terrorists know the Alert is out. Duct tape the screen on your tv...will keep you uninformed 24/7.

Actually, plastic sheeting and duct tape would go a long way towards protecting you from nerve gas, blister agent, or anthrax dust. Just stay in your house, turn off the a/c, and wait for the agents to degrade. Anthrax won't degrade like chemical agents will, but you can still keep it out of your house, and touching it won't kill you. BTW, "nerve gas" is mostly a mist, not a gas.
I was 1st in my class at NBC Warfare School. None of it is rocket science. Just keep it off of your skin and out of your lungs.

Sealing your windows and doors, even marginally, possibly WILL help if you happen to be in an area that is outlying from the major concentration of the attack or in a drift zone.
We were in Europe when Chernobyl blew. Radioactive fallout was measurable over most of western Europe within a few days.
