All this stuff is getting way out of hand (Dark Winter, etc...). There will be no attack that would threaten civilization or anything else. Maybe a car bomb in Europe.

My greatest fear is that they'll detonate a bomb containing a small amount of radioactive waste. I'm not afraid of the waste since its basically harmless. I'm afraid the media will hype the story to the moon. The media is capable of terrorizing Americans far more than Al Qaeda.

I'm just urging people to be prepared, not necessarily for the coming war, but in general. We have natural disasters that can occur (hurricanes, floods, etc.) It would be nice to be a bit independent during those times, instead of having to rely on the government or the Red Cross for primary needs.

Panic ought to do the job for a period of time. Then simple inability to feed the masses. The ones who aren't prepared shouldn't expect compassion from those who are. By the way, there are a lot of people who intend to run wild, looting and killing; that's the extent of their plan.

Yesterday, speaking of fears, the local hardware stores were selling out of duct tape and large rolls of plastic films. Seems that someone on TV mentioned how useful they would be to protect your house and selves from a poison gas attack. The local supplier of 5 gallon bottled water was swamped with orders. People are preparing, who knows for what, but this is the most anxious I have seen people for a long time.
