I still forget the Herding group is seperate now!

Uh...when did they separate and from what? As far as I know Sheperding/Herding have always been separate.

Last night they mentioned that when Westminster began, there were only two groups -- sporting and non-sporting. Gradually the groups splintered until now we have seven. I've been watching the Westminster for maybe 15 years and I have never seen anything other than seven groupings (IIRC), so these splits are apparently not so recent.

This is not an actual picture of my lttle Sheltie, Sandie, but so close it's his twin.

We've had one mongrel (17 years) and two Shelties (Brodie died at 15).

None are/were show dogs just 20 pounds or so of love, love, love and chew, chew, chew.

Each of them trained my wife and I to be good dog owners.
