The fundamental problem with brussel sprouting is its premise that the brussel sprouter is the arbiter of good taste, correct thinking, elegant expression, etc.
Corollary: If not rational thought, certainly good taste dictates that if the brussel sprouter willingly samples some of the detested veggie, he should keep his mouth shut and chew, not mouth off to the chef.
