On my way to work I was listening to NPR (our only radio station) and they were saying for all Americans to have enough food and water for 3 days, to have a radio and fresh batteries, and to have on hand DUCT TAPE and some kind of tarp to cover and seal windows. That one caught my attention. Is the gov. expecting nuclear bombs to fall?

Duct tape is good stuff, but I doubt it would help much in a nuclear strike.

Sounds more like preparations for chemical or bio warfare.
