I (& everybody I know) have BEEN boycotting french products for quite a while (in fact, I cancelled a spring trip there to & moved it to Spain) but even I was surprised checking out in K-Mart yesterday - the T-Fal frying pan I was buying was, according to its label, oops, made in France. Had to put it back. But, ummm, it felt sooo very good doing so.I think my french grandmother would have been tres, tres PROUD!

Our group (10) tried to put heavy peer pressure on me to take a Paris to Normandy riverboat cruise two weeks ago for our annual trip, and I said hell no, I won't go.
I won't get near those nasty frogs again!
Semi-social meltdown becoming a standoff.
I said you all go, but the frogs are are enemies and hate us, I aint going period!
Finally, the ice cracked, and now we are going to Spain and Portugal - so score one more!

A good amount of quality cooking/baking utensils are made in France. Along with T-fal beware of
Silpat
Le Creuset
most copper bowls/pots
Henckels Knives are from Germany as are Wustoff knives.
Of course there is the large selection of German/Belgium beers, wines exported from Germany. France profits quite nicely from imports of cheese, wine, champagne, truffles etc into America.
