But if you insist on being masochistic, may I suggest the Norvegian culinary delight, called Lutefisk, for the main course?
Lutefisk is dried codfish that is cured in lye. To prepare, rinse in cold water, then boil in cheese cloth. Pour melted butter all over it to disguise it's mushy, bland fish-food taste. Yummm! ( One lutefisk serves 10 stray cats.)< I had many a Christmas ruined by this dish.
