A special anniversary performance is held on the Sunday in March closest to March 23, the actual date of Henry's speech. This year's performance will be held on March 23, 2003.I haven't posted about it recently since I didn't figure people would commit this far away. What restaurant did you decide would work? Never having done something like this with our Old Dominion crowd, I don't have a sense yet of our numbers. The DC Chapter usually has about 40 show up, so I'm guessing half that for our first event. We'll know better as we get closer to March 23. Thanks for all your help, it's much appreciated.Church doors will open to the public for unreserved seating at 1:30 p.m. for each 2:00 p.m. show. The Church can accommodate up to 400 people. Free on-street parking is available. A voluntary donation is collected at the end of each performance.
I visited this reenactment several years ago and I encourage everyone with the slightest interest in our Founding to come. The interpreters do an amazing job in their presentation of the Second Virginia Convention. See the link for more details.
