Thought I'd share this with you and Mud. A couple days ago, Mud pinged me to a thread that Mia T had started. After waiting almost 5 minutes for the thread to load, I noticed this comment by "Boris" to Mia T:

Boris: "I truly hate your graphics."

I asked Boris why he hated them, and if it was because of the thread loading time. Here's his very humorous response.
(I thought it was humorous.):

"No, I hate them for the same reason I hate Brussels Sprouts.

Once a decade I will taste Brussels Sprouts, to see if I still gag--and if they taste as awful as I remember from the last time.

Nothing could possibly taste that bad, I tells myself.

Then my taste buds remind me that something can. People who like Brussels Sprouts are not of this Earth; trust me on this.

Nobody could possibly waste time preparing such ugly, distracting, and poorly-designed HTML rubbish...but one little taste of Mia T reminds me that they can."

You need to upgrade, my FRiend...I've got a direct cable hookup now and even Mia T's threads load up in 10-15 seconds; however, the USO Canteen still takes an awful long time to load fer some reason or other...MUD

I guess I missed Boris' brussel sprouting.

The fundamental problem with brussel sprouting is its premise that the brussel sprouter is the arbiter of good taste, correct thinking, elegant expression, etc.

Corollary:
If not rational thought, certainly good taste dictates that if the brussel sprouter willingly samples some of the detested veggie, he should keep his mouth shut and chew, not mouth off to the chef.
