I guess we need to compete and quit whining.

How do you compete with the slave wages the Chinese are allowed to pay it's workers? America is against slavery but willing to buy products that are made by virtual slaves. Show me an American who can afford to live on $150 a month at 96 hrs a week, eat and sleep at the factory and has to buy a day off.

I have a friend who goes to China regularly and says the conditions are horrendous. He says he has to wear a mask in the factory because the air is so polluted but the workers are charged almost one days pay for a mask and therefore do not buy them. There are few windows, no A/C (except for the plant warden... manager). The workers sleep and eat in shifts and are not allowed off plant grounds without a pass (which they have to buy). The rivers are brown and the air and smog form a gray haze over the city. This is what we have to COMPETE with.
