Well, I see where you could come to the conclusion that you did, about what SCHWARZKOPF said. But you just remembered what you felt you agreed with.
You forgot he also said:
"GEN. NORMAN SCHWARZKOPF: No, I dont any so, not anymore. I think that given the information thats come forward, particularly Colins presentation to the Security Council, I am sort of with the other 72 percent of the American people that said that I found it very compelling and I found it a very, very good rationale." So he is now on board with Bush's people. I think Norm is like many of the has beens who really talked when they didn't have all the information.
Then Schwarzkopf also said that some of the concern and discord had died down recently too: " Now, I will confess to you that the rhetoric that I was hearing, you know, a month ago with regard to the infighting between the military within the Pentagon and Rumsfeld and his people has died down a great deal and you havent heard much of it lately." So I don't think this is as bad as some of you "whiners" are saying it is.
You forgot to mention he indicated the reason he was "on board" is because he considers the war inevitable now that Ali Bubba and Rummy have so much ego invested in it,and that when the fighting starts everybody should support our country and our military. This is hardly a ringing endorsement.
I think Norm is like many of the has beens who really talked when they didn't have all the information.
Schwartzkopf is a "has been",while Ali Bubba is the greatest military leader who ever lived, right?
Then Schwarzkopf also said that some of the concern and discord had died down recently too: " Now, I will confess to you that the rhetoric that I was hearing, you know, a month ago with regard to the infighting between the military within the Pentagon and Rumsfeld and his people has died down a great deal and you havent heard much of it lately."
Yes,and he explained that as a result of everybody recogonizing that we WOULD have a war regardless, and the only intellegent thing for them to do was make the best of a bad situation.
So I don't think this is as bad as some of you "whiners" are saying it is.
The whiners are the Bush-Bots.
