Yes, I saw Norm on TV the other day. What I heard him say is that Saddam is a bad guy that needs to go. He said he thought that Powell made the case that Saddam needs to go now. Now how can he be one of Hack's "whiners"?

That's pretty amazing. You managed to hear all that, yet you didn't hear him talking about how the majority of the career military officers with combat experience in the Pentagram were against going to war with Iraq? You didn't hear him talking about how the only people pushing this were the Bush advisors who had never been in combat?

Do you have some kind of "Bush-Bot Vision" button on your tv that screens out reality?

Ok, SneekyPete, give me the reference to Norman Schwarzkopf's TV appearance you are talking about. I would like to find a video or transcript of it. I'm sure you would like to refresh my poor memory, with my "limited intellectual ability".

Ok, SneekyPete, give me the reference to Norman Schwarzkopf's TV appearance you are talking about.

It was last Sunday, and I'm pretty sure it was on Meet the Press. Mad Maddy Halfbright was also a guest.

I found that transcript on http://www.msnbc.com/news/870638.asp

Well, I see where you could come to the conclusion that you did, about what SCHWARZKOPF said. But you just remembered what you felt you agreed with.
You forgot he also said:
"GEN. NORMAN SCHWARZKOPF: No, I don’t any so, not anymore. I think that given the information that’s come forward, particularly Colin’s presentation to the Security Council, I am sort of with the other 72 percent of the American people that said that I found it very compelling and I found it a very, very good rationale." So he is now on board with Bush's people. I think Norm is like many of the has beens who really talked when they didn't have all the information.
Then Schwarzkopf also said that some of the concern and discord had died down recently too: " Now, I will confess to you that the rhetoric that I was hearing, you know, a month ago with regard to the infighting between the military within the Pentagon and Rumsfeld and his people has died down a great deal and you haven’t heard much of it lately." So I don't think this is as bad as some of you "whiners" are saying it is.

So he is now on board with Bush's people.

You forgot to mention he indicated the reason he was "on board" is because he considers the war inevitable now that Ali Bubba and Rummy have so much ego invested in it,and that when the fighting starts everybody should support our country and our military. This is hardly a ringing endorsement.

I think Norm is like many of the has beens who really talked when they didn't have all the information.

Schwartzkopf is a "has been",while Ali Bubba is the greatest military leader who ever lived, right?

Then Schwarzkopf also said that some of the concern and discord had died down recently too: " Now, I will confess to you that the rhetoric that I was hearing, you know, a month ago with regard to the infighting between the military within the Pentagon and Rumsfeld and his people has died down a great deal and you haven’t heard much of it lately."

Yes,and he explained that as a result of everybody recogonizing that we WOULD have a war regardless, and the only intellegent thing for them to do was make the best of a bad situation.

So I don't think this is as bad as some of you "whiners" are saying it is.

The whiners are the Bush-Bots.

This will be the only post I make. Richard Medders is addopted and I am related to him by marriage. He has been disowened by the family. And yes Richard Medders is his real name.
