Teens forced to make very public apology
FAIRPORT HARBOR, Ohio (Court TV) Two teenagers were forced to parade a donkey through a town after they admitted defacing a statue of the baby Jesus.
Jessica Lange and Brian Patrick, both 19, were ordered by a judge to make the Feb. 2 march through the northeast Ohio town after they admitted stabbing and desecrating the statue with Satanic symbols at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church on Christmas Eve.
Groups of residents watched as the two walked and asked for forgiveness. The repentant duo led a donkey provided by a petting zoo through the streets and carried a sign that said, "Sorry for the jackass offense."
"This is a kind of conscience flogging," said municipal Judge Michael Cicconetti, who is known for handing out unusual sentences.
After the 30-minute march, the pair was taken to jail to serve 45-day sentences that will include drug and alcohol treatment, according to a Lake County court clerk. They must also pay to replace the statue.

If I owned a petting zoo, I wouldn't let one of my animals anywhere near those two little monsters.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the parents supported the kids.

Well, now we know what Jessica Lange's been up to lately.

Well, she did say she hated W. I guess since she can't stab him to death she'll take it out on a representation of someone he respects.

Also, where are the Muslim-defenders when something like this happens? Don't you dare look crosseyed when someone mentions Muslim terrorists, but it is fine and dandy to do something like this against Christians.

These two sound like real winners, drug and alcohol addicted Satanists. Too bad the punishment couln't have been worse.

45 days of picking up the soap is a lot for a statue. Why didn't the judge just make them pay to replace it?
To: Bob Quixote
OOPS! Didn't read the last line. The judge still laid out a can of whoop-ass, though.
