I laughed through it too.But I was laughing at my brother and friend.This was around 1978 or 79 before VCR's beame popular.You had to wait a few years for a movie like that to come on television[if you weren't too young to remember then].Of course that was state of the art special eefects back then.It prbably looks silly to kids nowadays use to the computer effects they have these days.

I think today's effects may be a big part of it... Although, maybe not in my kid's case - I remember when 'Starhip Troopers' hit the theatres. I had read the book, and wanted to see it. Couldn't find a baby-sitter, so I took the kids (against the 'conventional' wisdom of the day) with me to see it... I knew there wouldn't be any problems when, during the movie, my oldest piped up "Whoa! Cool! You can see inside that guy's head! Awesome!"... Oh, the looks I got... ;0)




(And yes, I remember when VCRs came out)
