Michael, looks like Schroeder and Chirac are willing to wreck NATO, the UN, and US relations for Saddam. Do Germans really think Saddam is worth it? How will they feel when the US and its allies liberate the Iraqis and they thank us? That's going to be when we see the folly of the Schroeder and Chirac policies.

Dear friends and people of the United States of America!
Your President (supported by your government and Congress) is leading you in a war against the Republic of Iraq. It seems that this decision is already made and nobody can stop that war now - except your President or Saddam Hussein. Since noone expects Hussein to disarm his military or your President to paddle back, the world will go through that war.
Many nations, peoples and government all over the world don´t want that war - not only the Iraqi leadership and its friends. And there are many reasons why people don´t support your war. Some of them are reasonable, some may be accepted and some may not.
I call you to make differences why people don´t want that war. Some people hate your politics of the past or present, some are envious, some are pacifists and dislike all kinds of military or war in general, some don´t believe that Iraq has an evil leadership, some want a UN resolution before starting the strikes, etc.
Your President is doing the right - he keeps up the pressure on Iraq until Saddam Hussein has no WMD anymore. That means that he will go to the very end: ordering your troops to combat against Iraq.
Some of your troops may die while they´re fighting for the freedom, independance and security not only of the United States of America, but of the entire civilized world. That is the greatest contribution to mankind one can do - giving his/her life for the freedom of others. And your troops deserve respect for being ready to lose life. We all hope that this future war will not lead to many casualties, but that we all know that we´re going to see dead Iraqis as well as US soldiers coming home in flag-covered coffins.
Let me tell you, that - no matter your ALLIED GOVERNMENTS behave before that war - we all mourn for your deads, respecting their task.
Alliances will not break over differences on the war against Iraq. Saddam Hussein is not worth to end friendship with other nations! The United States are not only fighting a war against Iraq, but also against terrorism - and they´re doing that with many nations. Please keep in mind that governments who do not support the way you´re handling the Iraqi conflict are supporting you in the war against terrorism.
Finally, I hope that these strikes will end soon so that the world will be a safier place.
God bless you and the allied troops being ready to complete the mission of 1991!
Michael
That´s what I posted two days ago. No Germans don´t think that Saddam is worth to abolish UN and NATO for.
CU,
Michael
