well, that's the thing. it wasn't a squid, it was a moose, and not a giant moose but a chief moose who, searching for a sniper got a skipper instead, and not just any old skipper but a cheese-eating surrender one. all of this was apparently lost when the story was translated; i hope i've clarified it for everyone.
