Fox News has been showing the WFAA video (taken by an amateur photographer) which zoomed in on the shuttle flying "sideways" There is no such video. The video you are referring to was an out of focus condition where the shape of the video camera iris formed the shape of the bright object.

The video you are referring to was an out of focus condition where the shape of the video camera iris formed the shape of the bright object. Don't leave out the fact that the out-of-focus shape just happened to look exactly like the ass-end of a Space Shuttle. The iris explanation doesn't address that little fact.

I took another look at it and it appears to be in sharp focus. You can clearly see defined edges, as well as shadows in the right places on the belly of the orbiter.
The image on the frame is not symetrical, as it would be if it were an iris artifact.

This the one you say is an artifact?

Was that you that I wasted time debating ? Didn't I ask you to explain the smoking debris contrail ? Didn't I ask you to explain the obvious shedding of debris in the video capture ?
