Hillary will not be the incumbent.

I beg your pardon? She is as much an incumbent as her husband ever was. She was as much a part of the Presidency as he was, and most people realize that. After all, what other qualification for office did she bring to her NY Senate race? It was more than enough!

It's like comparing a couple of unpaid parking tickets to treason.

In the morally sensible America of decades ago, this argument would make a lot of sense. In the morally obtuse climate in America today and with her proposed legions of ready voters and camp-followers (see my above list of "why"), it is an argument which holds little water compared to her perceived plusses.

The 38-40% who know what she is (and care) will never vote for her. The 42% who love her unconditionally will vote for her in any case. The remaining 20% are just "moderate", unthinking types who greatly inhabit my above "why" list and will look for any reason to vote for her - not the least reason of which she is 'a woman'. They will overlook the accusations of the "right-wing kooks" (as we will be portrayed incessantly by her partisans and the Media...but, I repeat myself). Enough of these 20% will not want to be associated with the likes of the discredited 'truth-tellers' but will prefer to be seen on the side of the PC Media and history. They will think somehow that voting for her will make them a "better" person, politically and in their own minds.

Count on it.

Al Gore never had all the 'right' attributes Hillary! brings to the ticket. She will win the states he won plus a lot of states in the middle - some in the South, including Florida!

The only reason she will not have an overwhelming chance to win is if she is in jail. That is not about to happen unless somebody miraculously resurrects the actual missing pictures and evidence from the Vince Foster Case File, which has no statute of limitations.

Exactly right. And she and her so-called husband "own" the Dem party and their money machine.
She could lose in 2004 if the war in Iraq is successful and the economy recovers. But if those things don't happen, she could win. People liked the stock market bubble, and they give clintoon credit for it. Even more liked the illusion of peace. Ignoring world issues looks like peace to many.

This is scary stuff.
