WASHINGTON - A new poll says Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton could sweep the entire field of Democratic presidential candidates if she wanted to challenge President Bush in 2004 - fueling talk she's leaving the door open to doing just that.

"If she even let herself be talked about seriously, she'd be the one to beat among the Democrats and she could raise zillions of dollars. I can't figure out who in the bunch of them could beat her," said Quinnipiac pollster Maurice Carroll.

NY pollster, perhaps?!!!!!!!!!!

I hate to be the contrarian, but I think Hillary! would be the most formidable Dim candidate. She is an outstanding campaigner, sounding down right middle of the road. She ran lots better in upstate New York than anybody thought she would, and demographically that area is more like the Midwest than the Northeast. She would get back the part of the women's vote that Billy Jeff had but Gore lost.

Barring a disaster in Iraq, I still think Dubya wins, but Hillary! would give him a heck of a fight.

CP....I've always been ambivalent about Lopez's rear end. It's a wee bit large for my taste although it does look good at times in clothes at the right angle. She recently had some er...work down on it from what I have read...probably for that idiot Affleck. In any event I'm sure it beats Hitlery's to be sure.

I could not find a less flattering pic I saw of her romping on a beach before but here's one I did procure:

To each his own.

Some have been known to call early polls and early pre-primary events that don't select delegates as "beauty contests".

I really hope they don't use that term this election cycle or I shall be violently ill. ;-)

Don't ever count her or her deadbeat husband out. For some reason they can make even somewhat smart people fall for their smooth talk!! I have watched and watched them, and they are the most evil minded people, but then a lot of people here in America will line up right behind them. I just don't think you can write her off just yet, and I think if the opportunity lends its way she will step in in 2004.

Wise words indeed. The Clintons are dangerous, dangerous people. Just when you think they're down and out and you have them on the ropes, they find a way (usually with the help of the presstitutes) to jump up and sucker punch you.

If this time next year the economy is like it is now or worse, Hillary! is going to slaughter Bush, no matter what Republicans and conservatives and FReepers do. You can count on the Rats and Clinton to trot out the white-knight-on-a-horse routine to ride back into the White House and "make the economy better again like it was when we were President. Hillary! will have 75-80% of the female vote locked up because women will vote for her "because she's a woman" (the group identity-bond thing), and throw in another 40% from the stoopid male vote and its Hillary! in a landslide.

Sorry to be such a gloomy gus, but my fear is that the sheeple will vote their pocketbooks, like they always do, and if the economy is still bad, you can be sure all bets are off for Bush's election.

And this is what happened when Hillary won in 2004.

Thanks for a great idea for a bumper sticker, or t-shirt.

Lets bump someone with the talent to make it happen.

Boy, are you lost. There is only one thing that matters to the owners of the corporate media empire and that is POWER, the ambitions of individual journalists notwithstanding. Any reporter who tries to run that story will be crushed like a bug.

I don't want to pull rank, but I've worked for two networks. You are incorrect. In fact, your argument is boilerplate DU conspiracy theory. And I know you're not one of them.

Your ignorance of the American media is astounding.

I'm an alumnus of two news divisions. Your qualifications?

There is one thing, and one thing only, that will make "mainstream" journalists override their natural allegiance to the DNC, and that one thing is the chance to Make History (and thus Become Famous and Win a Pulitzer in the process). And what better way to do that than to change the course of history itself and take down a presidential candidate?

You give them too much credit. There were many instances when they could have asked serious questions during her Senatorial run and I never heard a peep out of the 'tough (ha) NY Press'. What makes you think things will be different? Frankly, with so concentration on her favorable polls week on end, it's as if they are asking her to run.

it will be 60 days max before the floodgates open and her entire evil life starts getting splashed across the front pages of every newspaper

As one poster asked, 'are you on crack?"

The newsmedia will LOVE this woman in the race. It will affirm all their ideas and ideals (not to mention morals), just like they slavered after and covered for her felonious husband.

Hillary Rod-damn Clinton will never, EVER be elected president.

That's a bet I would never take, not in a million years. There are vast hordes of "Americans" who would vote for her because she is...

1. Hillary!

2. a woman

3. a Democrat

4. being touted day and night by the media and will be granted 'star' status by them

5. her voters are anxious to prove how up-to-date and tolerant they are (at least to themselves)

6. her voters are terminally stupid, morally obtuse, illegal, lazy or simply criminally inattentive - and that is a huge number of available people!

7. any political opposition will be personally, thoroughly trashed by the ubiquitous and powerful circles of 'informed opinion' in the usual Clinton way

8. she will have tons of money and legions of unprincipled promoters, advisers and talking heads in her slavish corner

Nope. That's not a bet I would take. Perhaps she might not beat an ascendant GW Bush in 2004, but she wil beat almost anybody else either then or any other time, just because she is Hillary! and it is her appointed destiny.

I had the pleasure of seeing Roger Mudd end the WH quest of the dumbest, and maybe the nastiest, of the Kennedy scions. Who'll do it for She-Who-Wants-To-Be-Obeyed? Tim Russert?

See 69 and 70. I've been there. And the New York STATE press != "the New York media" as usually mentioned here. Of course the state media were starstruck losers. Hillary's Senate run was but a mere sideshow to the national media in 2000.

George McGovern. Gary Hart. Joe Biden. Just off the top of my head, there are three Democratic senators who had no problems whatsoever as long as they were covered by the national media merely as members of the Senate, yet imploded once they started running for president and REALLY having the media spotlight shined upon them.

The media's innate love for RATS is one thing. A presidential campaign is another matter entirely. Hillary will not be able to politically survive that level of media scrutiny.

He's certainly capable of it. But she's probably too smart to go on Meet the Press after announcing. She'll most likely be taken down through a series of massively negative stories that pop up throughout the media, all of which will go unanswered because she is HILLARY! and thinks she need not even bother to respond. That's her biggest Achilles' heel, after the sheer number of illegal actions she's been involved in during her adult life: Her indescribably huge vanity and sense of entitlement.

Run Bitch, Run...

"Run, Hillery, Run..." was a bumper sticker in NY (2000 campaign). It was always put on the front bumper, of course.

Mark my words. If she is ever stupid enough to run, it will be 60 days max before the floodgates open and her entire evil life starts getting splashed across the front pages of every newspaper and web page in the country.

I heard the same thing said about the "tough" New York media during her Senate run. If the national presstitutes gave her and Slick a pass the first time, they'll do it again.

Run Hillary, Run! (bumper sticker on the front of my car)
