Suit: Counselor Pushed Florida Woman Into Porn
Posted: 1:28 p.m. EST February 6, 2003
TAMPA, Fla. -- A woman who said that a drug counselor gave her drugs and lured her into pornography is now suing the Tampa community treatment center where he once worked. Danielle Holland claims Carley "Corby" Casey supplied her with Xanax, steadily increasing her dependence until she provided him sex in exchange for the drug. She accuses the Agency for Community Treatment Services of negligence for hiring Casey, who had a 25-year criminal record.
The lawsuit accuses Casey, who counseled Holland from January to March 2002, of taking Holland to his Temple Terrace apartment and introducing her to other illegal drugs before raping her.
The suit said that Casey eventually got Holland a job at an adult bookstore and theater, where she participated in pornographic videos.
Authorities said that Casey was fired from ACTS on March 14th for counseling clients in his home.
His resume showed he had drug addiction certification and a master's degree, and he was licensed by the state in 1999.

Well, he seemed to have been qualified to counsel a young woman into being a drug addict...

This is just about sex.
Clinton apologists, please defend this man!

Suspect we'll have libertarians for drugs posting on this thread saying that if she'd been able to pick this drug up at the local 7-11, she wouldn't have been victimized. `->

For Xanax you'd have to go to Walgreens.

Not THIS Libertarian.
Xanax is hard-core. I got dependent on it. I was prescribed to take 1/2 to one as needed. I was taking one each morning and one each night.
When I realized I was hooked, I quit. It was the toughest thing I've ever done. Worst week of my life.
But I've been Xanax-free for more than five years, and far happier without it.

I will say, though, that I never would have traded sex for Xanax. That's too low.

Exploitation and dependency all around here. What is this world coming to?
The American judge's role as gatekeeper is of utmost importance these days. Freepers seek to rollback decades of American largess; One of the best ways to do that is to throw efforts behind judicial nominees. The gatekeepers of today are best-positioned to change the landscape of litigiousness in America tomorrow.

He did have a certain flair about him, I can't deny that. I have a soft spot in my heart for the politicians of old - agree or disagree, they seem to have possessed more conviction in their beliefs than our current crop.

Anxiety, mostly, and panic attacks. I had the blue 1-mg ones, and I was taking two of those daily, which (now that I look at the Website) is twice the recommended dose. Yee.

Sounds nasty. I'm glad you were able to shrug the monkey off your back. Though judging from your pix, you probably chopped him up into little pieces.

I wasn't quite as tough then, but I did kick him around a little bit. :)
Now if I could just cut back my beer intake, I could flatten my stomach, and be a believable barbarian again!
