Uh-oh, null and void, now you've done it. You have introduced reason and logic into anotherwise hysterical public flogging. I missed all the fireworks and since the offending post were pulled I am unable to decide for myself if I should be outraged. Moreover, since Servant of the Nine has been taken to the woodshed with his posting priviledges temporarily suspended I am unable to read any response he may have made to his detractors. However, I wonder how his opinions could have been any more severe than the reaction posted by swarthyguy.

Yep. Get the government down to its proper functions and cut taxes (for everybody, not by some "targeted" social-engineering scheme) down to where people who want to do so can effectively raise a middle-class family on one income.

Bascially, So9 was hoping that Ebola Zaire would kill off five billion people.

The question is how. Hard, or easy...It'll seek out its own level, and there are already signs of that happening - the birthrate in Mexico, for example, has dropped significantly in recent years. But it's demented to wish painful death of five billion people because the poster in questions wants more lebensraum.

You're right, u may wonder.
Severe? My response was measured. I just spoke about SOB and his family. With no regrets, i might add.
I suggest SOB start the World Depopulation Initiative by offing himself and his entire family. He prolly uses up too much of the world's resources anyway.

Government getting out of the way would be great. But lets consider the statistics of crime, substance abuse, and antisocial behavior commited by children of single parent (usually single mothers) families. The statistics are absolutely shocking. Unfortunately right now the government rewards the wrong type of behavior and punishes the correct behavior. Your idea of removal of government encouragement of bad behavior is a step in the right direction. Why not go further and encourage the right kind of people to procreate? It's in societies and the governments best interest to encourage succesful productive people to have children. Those children end up paying taxes while not being a drain on government programs.

Ah, I see. So, it must be about numbers then. So9 advocated 5B but swarthyguy confined his to So9 and his immediate family. In this case, less is best or at least it allows your post to remain.

It's called a retort, a response tailored to the initial post. So9's comment was of the worst sort, that the world is too crowded, so billions should die so that they don't get in his way and irritate him. Millions have died over the years because of such tyrannical attitudes. So quit trying to play the moral equivalence game, dearie...

Play your word games. Well, Less is Best is actually the dearly departed's line.
I'm more discriminating. Those who believe and advocate drastic population control measures should set an example for others.
Hey, go get my post deleted. I don't care.

Why not go further and encourage the right kind of people to procreate? And the "right kind of people" are?
No-one with Lou Gherig's disease? (Stephen Hawking)
No-one with deafness? (Beethoven)
No-one with deformities? (Charles Steinmetz)
No gays? (Turing, half of the Hollywood entertainers)
No Møøse limbs? (who kept learning alive during Christian europe's dark ages)
No drug addicts? (Poe)
Straight hair? Almond eyes? Dark skin?
Swell, let the government pick who's suitable for bleeding, and who's suitable for breeding.
Just like any other domestic animal...

Those who believe and advocate drastic population control measures should set an example for others. Funny how they always want someone else to go first. Just as many celebrities in the anti-SUV crowd are among the biggest individual energy consumers in the country. It's called hypocrisy, except that with So9 he wants people to die so he won't be irritated, which is far worse. I think the appropriate response is to irritate the jerk as much as possible, he deserves it.

"I'm not sure if it's because "conservatives" don't think that getting knocked up at 17 is irresponsible, or because they think that personal irresponsibility should be subsidized in general." Might I suggest a different way of looking at the situation? Perhaps the problem isn't the fact that people want to have sex (and get pregnant) as teenagers. Especially since nature seems to have designed human beings to do just that, and since medical research into the subject indicates that people who delay childbearing experience more problems with childbearing the longer they delay it.
Perhaps the real problem is that we have created a society where people have to work so hard for so little that they feel they cannot responsibly afford children until they are almost too old to have them, and their fertility has fallen almost completely off the charts? Perhaps the real problem is that the average guy cannot make enough money to afford to provide for a wife and children until he is well into his thirties, if then?
To summarize, I submit that this problem is really a problem of government policy and economics rather than one of "values" or "responsibility", and is because our society has agreed to lock itself into a suicidal paradigm.

The right kind are married couples. Unfortunately for the "alternative lifestyle" crowd(yourself perhaps?), study after study has shown that children raised with a male father and female mother that are married aren't as screwed up as children in single parent homes. Right now the government encourages single teenage girls to have a baby outside of marriage. Over 70% of black babies are born out of wedlock and look at the incarceration rates of black males. My wife and I are penalized right now by the tax structure for being married and employed. We can't afford to have children, but we are penalized for being married. Why not encourage couples to stay married and encourage married couples to have children? Nahh, lets encourage gay "couples" to adopt babies and ignore illegal immigration to keep the population up to pay for social security instead.

I can assure you I'm not playing. I'm trying to determine how one person can be smacked down for expressing his opinion while another odious comment is found acceptable. IMHO it must have been a matter of volume.
