I suspect Saddam might prefer to strike first at Kuwait, Saudi
Arabia, Israel, etc. rather than wait until all of our pieces are in place and it's raining bombs and missles and his entire army folds. Hostages and Human Shields are possible as well, including UN personnel. I don't think it will be too much longer before someone lights this candle. To qoute Bush "THE GAME IS OVER!"

If Saddam has decided to fight, he may use a pre-emptive attack with Chem. weapons from the beginning to see if he can catch the U.S. with their pants down.

That's what I'd do if I was the cold blooded tyrant. Catch the U.S. soldiers with-out their NBC suits on.
