You know, I just happened to have a humorous thought...
Where might I go, to buy a white flag, so that I can send it to the French Embassy?
Seems they need extra equipment for the impending conflict...
Thoughts, anybody?

Chirac has had ties with Hussein going back to the 70's. Heck, at one time he was called Mr. Iraq. His ties with Hussein are so strong that when the Iraqis called the nuke reactor he sold them Osirak, Chirac asked them to change it bacause it sounded like O'Chirac. The Iraqis then changed it to the Tammuz.

I wish people would cut Chirac some slack. He has to play for time...it takes time to have an order for 50,000 white flags filled.

I agree. Only a few minutes after Powell finished speaking, the French UN Ambassidor read a prepared statement. It was obvioulsy written before Powell spoke. Their position was already set. Nothing Powell said could have changed it.
