I also thought that he [President Bush] was going to address a Joint Session of Congress. Maybe that's why he sent Colin Powell to brief Congress today.

It may be nothing at all....but I've noticed that quite a few big name RATS are making sure they are on the record "supporting" the President since yesterday; i.e. Kerry, Durbin, Lieberman, etc. They don't want to get caught with their pants down. Or up.

Bush was supposed to give a speech after Powell's presentation. Either way, THIS IS NOT THE WAR SPEECH. I don't know what the heck he is going to say, but it sure as heck is not going to be "the war has started."

Perhaps...and I have a feeling this may be it...Bush will tell the U.N. to get its butt in gear and pass a second resolution ASAP to support military force. If, after Feb. 14, we do not have such a resolution, then it is go time.
