Heh-heh!! Guess he kind of liked it when the media were always talking ABOUT him on TV, etc.: "Scott Peterson has not given us an interview, sending word that he wants to keep the focus on Laci." Remember? At that stage, we saw mostly still photos of His Scottship--not live footage. Bet he loved seeing his mug on national TV, and on the net.
But, gee, you know, Scott, fame can be a real drag! Too bad Jackie Onassis and Princess Di aren't here to elaborate for you! Why don't you write to Prince William or Monica Lewinsky and ask them about this perplexing problem?
It's one thing to see people talking about you in the big media, it's quite another to have camera guys sneaking through your bathroom window and shoving a mike in your face, and to have to wade through a mob every time you set foot out the door. Hey--how's a guy supposed to have a social life, or GET ANY in the midst of THAT??

"Why not try it again?"
See, alexandria, as usual, you don't miss a trick.
We have a History with Amber here, so what happened at the Peterson's home that night? What could have caused a fight? Hummmm.

So the NE says that the police found blood on the mop? I knew it! I knew it! IIRC, Scott said Laci was mopping the floor when he left, and everyone figured that was going to be his explanation for a freshly mopped floor. If Scott mopped the floor, he was obviously mopping up something and that something would be detected on the mop.
I think the NE is going to turn out to be right on on this one, because it makes sense.

Lee Rodgers (KSFO) reported this morning that the National Enquirer (yeah, yeah...) has a story out with todays issue...
Amber Frye is accused of having an affair with the husband of another pregnant woman, and she was fully aware that she was married.
and for some reason it has pictures of her in a thong bikini.
for what its worth.

Ah, Wimpycat! I do wish we knew something that definite--because that would finally begin to give US some of the answers we crave! But I looked at those posted NE articles again, and I saw only that the mop was reported to be WET. Didn't say it had blood on it, so we still don't know!
At least the police were alert enough to inquire about the mop's being wet, though--and to interview the Peterson's maid! (Police are practical enough to know that the HUSBAND in a house is seldom going to mop the floor unless something specific got spilled, lol!)
oops sorry all, looks like that story was already buried in this thread. maybe it needs a new one...

Sorry, sometimes I get too serious/upset over this case, I need to lighten up with a little humor every now and again.

Greta had to come back the next night and make the corrections. I missed that. But I was aware that the "bankruptcy" claim was in error. Was there more?
On the new claims, I have read on a different website about the different "Amber Affairs". An assortment of "experts" have lined up to question SP's truthfulness based on voice stress, body language, eye movement and, duh, contradictions in his statements.

Thanks for the ping. The new NE stories will probably be discussed more today as the news services pick them up..

single mothers get a bad rap Yeah, they do, Zod! All the more reason not to become one!

Unfortunately some of us become single mothers not by choice.

Was there more?
One night last week John South of the NE was on On The Record with GVS and made statements saying that SP had copies or second pictures of him and Amber which Laci found or had. South said that Laci had told SP that it was over. He also said that Laci had confided to some of her friends about the situation and also to her sister. When GVS asked John South if Laci's parents knew, he responded that had not told her parents because Laci wanted to get through the holidays without any commotion.
The next night GVS reported that Laci did not have any pictures of SP and Amber. So how much of John South's story of that particular night is to be believed, I don't know. But no other media outlet has reported anything like it yet.

Hey! I was just thinking about something. Wasn't it reported that Scott himself mopped the floor (NOT the maid)(I would like to know where this MAID came from) and took a shower THEN called the police about Laci's disappearance?
To: HollyHock
It appears that the police think SCOTT mopped the floor. Scott was reported as having told them that Laci was mopping the floor that morning. However, at first that wasn't reported as a part of Scott's initial statement to police.
This gave me the impression that he had added it as an afterthought. I pictured it thusly: "She told me she was going to walk the dog in the park, as usual, and that she was going to get some groceries............................................ Oh, and, um, I forgot--I saw her mopping the floor that morning b/f I left."
Here's what I envision as having happened. Scott played the part (that's my opinion only) of the guy calling b/c he was worried about his missing wife. So the police sent a squad car out.
Policeman: "Where did you last see her?"
Scott: "Well, right here in the kitchen. I know it was about 9-9:30, b/c I left to go fishing at 9:30. Also, Martha Stewart was on, I remember that..."
Policeman: "What were her plans? Did she tell you?"
Scott: "She was gonna go and walk the dog in the park, as she always does. Then she was gonna buy groceries, 'cause we were having people over on Christmas."
At this point, the officer notices the WET MOP.
Policeman: "I see your mop is wet."
Scott: "Oh, yeah--did I remember to tell you that? This morning she was also mopping the kitchen floor."
Then the police find the maid, later, and she says that on the 23rd, SHE had mopped that same floor. The police are now wondering why the mop was still as wet as it was at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th, when they were at Scott's house. AND they are wondering why Scott wouldn't want to admit to having mopped his own floor.
All of the above is just my speculating on how the mop became important. Needless to say, I have no inside knowledge on the case, and it is all my opinion!
