I like your PSYOPs idea. I wish we were a lot more aggressive with them on this front, which could potentially have a very good return for what money we'd invest into it. The traditional line seems to be to not try and destabilize the regime, overtly or covertly. Reading your post makes me even more convinced that there is merit to the covert approach.

An effective PSYOPS campaign would be to warm a box of MRE's, set them at the DMZ and let the smell waft over to the north. They'd come in droves over to our side.
